Mobility Cup 2019 will be hosted by the National Capital Able Sail Association and the Nepean Sailing Club.
Disabled sailing has empowered, motivated and enhanced the lives of people living with disabilities across the country and beyond. Although it is a relatively newer sport with a sparser history, it continues to attract people to the water and provide opportunities for challenge, excitement and freedom.
Accessible sailing allows everybody to participate and experience everything being on the water has to offer.
For persons with a disability, the sense of freedom and independence associated with sailing is unrivalled.
Thanks to adaptive technology, even people with severe physical limitations can compete equally with able-bodied persons.
Sailing enables those with disabilities to enrich their lives and build confidence in a way no other similar activity can.
Sailing gave me the tools, community and knowledge to learn the skills that I use today.
